Rifle Rucksack

Rucksacks that have the ability to also carry/store a rifle have been around for quite a while but those of a type that can fully conceal the rifle transported are more often than found at a high price point. Well, we’ve got a solution to that because by merging the Jack Pyke Rucksack and Rifle Slip, we’ve created a hybrid dual-duty kit and gun carrier that is both handy and versatile.

The main bag compartment is accessed by a strong two-way zip upon which the semi clam shell opening then reveals the large main compartment with upper zipped mesh pouch and lower elasticated top internal pocket.

On the outer side of the rucksack is a large two-way double zip front pocket with an internal lower mesh holder. In between both the main compartment and the very rear compartment is a single zipped admin compartment pocket positioned at the very top. All zips have strong cord pull assists.

It also features 2x mesh side pockets for storing kit needed close to hand while it also has 2x side compression straps with ABS snap buckle fastening to ensure items held within remain secure. There’s also an external bungee to further tailor the pack to the contents contained.

The pack has a double well-padded shoulder harness with adjustable straps, adjustable sternum strap plus a wide removeable and adjustable waist strap with side padding.

The Rifle Rucksack also comes with an additional mesh storage bag with top draw cord fastening. This can be used for carrying shot game off your shoot and has ABS & metal spring clips that can be attached to the pack’s 2x lower external D-rings.

Extra carriage options include a padded top grab handle and a side handle which is very useful for when the bag transforms into a gun carrier.

The zipped, gun slip, or ‘foldable holster’ is integrated into the build of the pack and when not in use folds unobtrusively into its own storage compartment.

This is found just behind the padded back mesh of the pack. The top and bottom of this storage compartment unzip to allow the butt section to fold out from the top while the muzzle section emerges from the bottom of the pack. This allows a rifle/scope combo to be slipped down muzzle first from the top and is fully protected for its entire length as this sleeve (although attached to the inner of the pack) is designed as a full lined gun slip with webbing reinforcement at the muzzle.

The holster measures a full 50” in length when deployed and approx. 8” in width at the widest point.

It’ll hold virtually any sportier design mechanical action air rifle combo, most standard design PCPs with large objective scopes on board plus scoped rimfires and some centrefire firearms with reflex style moderators.

Incidentally if using a carbine size air rifle, a tip for good fit is to pack the muzzle end of the holster up to the required height with a soft material so your combo won’t move around during transit.

Manufactured from 600D Cordura, in its standard roll as a rucksack it measures approximately 20” x 11” x 9” and has a capacity of approximately 22L.However, if the Rifle Rucksack takes your fancy measure your combo to ensure it’ll fulfil the double duty it’s designed for.
